After some months of working through several designs and various combinations of wings, fuselage and boom designs, Alan Cardash has come up with what we believe is the best flying ARF Jet Trainer you canbuy!
The kit goes together quickly and easily as it is now an ARF. The reward for yourthree or four evenings building is a good looking, fully aerobatic 130mph jet trainer which will slow down like a big trainer for easy, short landings. It flies even slower with the flaps, ideal for small field flying, even off bumpy grass.
The INTRO is designed for the new generation of small 12 to 18 lb turbines such as the JetCat P60, or any light 12 to 15 lb turbine, which will give more than adequate performance with good verticals and stunning aerobatic potential. Every manoeuvre that you know how to fly is possible with this new jet, Loops, snaps, spins, inverted and all combinations of your favorite tricks. When it comes down to landing, you'll not believe the sweet, slow approaches and easy flare out.
Volkan Dil from Al's Hobbies managed to fit a JetCat P80 with a massive 20lb of thrust in this airframe. It was a tight fit, but after some trimming the P80 felt like it was designed for this plane! Even though the P80 is a heavier engine Volkan managed to balance the plane without any additional lead. Ali Machinchy test flew the plane and he said that the plane flys like any other boomerang! The P80 also gives a larger range of aircraft for your next jet, including a lot of the Skymaster Kits.
Fixed landing gear is supplied with the mounts for retracts already in place, giving you the option. A 2 litre plastic compact tank can be fitted in the generous tank bay. The balsa sheeted super light wings and tail are beautifully covered in Profilm. To aid your final trimming, some extra Profilm in colours to match is supplied in each kit.
